BKT Showcases High-Performance Off-Highway Tyres at SMOPYC 2026

Off-Highway tyre manufacturer BKT (Balkrishna Industries Ltd.) showcased its latest tyre technologies for construction, mining and industrial applications at SMOPYC 2026, one of Southern Europe's leading trade fairs for construction equipment. Exhibiting alongside its long-time Iberian distributor S. José Pneus, BKT underlined its commitment to providing reliable tyre solutions for the most demanding operating environments.

The centrepiece of the exhibition was the EARTHMAX range, developed for heavy-duty mining and earthmoving equipment. Among the featured products was the EARTHMAX SR 47 TP, engineered for rigid dump trucks operating in abrasive, rocky environments where durability and cut resistance are critical. BKT also presented the EARTHMAX SR 35, an all-steel radial tyre designed for articulated dump trucks and wheel loaders, offering high levels of traction, stability and operational reliability.

Beyond mining applications, BKT demonstrated its broader industrial portfolio with the AIROMAX AM 27, developed for mobile cranes requiring excellent road performance and manoeuvrability, as well as the LIFTMAX LM 81, designed specifically for intensive material handling operations where durability and load stability are essential.

The exhibition also marked an important milestone in BKT's relationship with S. José Pneus, celebrating 19 years of partnership, while the distributor itself commemorated its 60th anniversary in the tyre industry. According to Lucia Salmaso, Managing Director of BKT Europe, the long-standing cooperation has been instrumental in strengthening BKT's position across the Iberian Peninsula and enabling the company to respond quickly to evolving customer requirements.

SMOPYC continues to serve as a strategic platform for manufacturers supplying the construction and mining industries. Through its latest tyre developments, BKT reaffirmed its focus on durability, productivity and safety for operators working under some of the world's toughest conditions.
