Bridgestone brings new premium UltraWeather tyre to the US market

Bridgestone is launching the new UltraWeather for the North American market. The touring tyre (premium grand touring) was developed for sedans, minivans, CUVs, SUVs and pick-ups and offers reliable performance in all weather conditions. The new Bridgestone UltraWeather impresses with outstanding traction on wet roads as well as winter capability, which is confirmed by the 3PMSF certification (Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake). The UltraWeather replaces the Bridgestone WeatherPeak and features Enliten Technology, which delivers longer service life, lower rolling resistance for improved fuel efficiency and first-class performance in every season[1].

The new tyre was developed specifically for the changing requirements of today’s generation of drivers and features a robust construction that offers versatile and reliable protection in all weather conditions – for both conventional and electric vehicles.

Safer traction on wet roads: Thanks to open shoulder slots and circumferential grooves, the UltraWeather efficiently channels water away, helping to reduce the risk of aquaplaning.
The UltraWeather has 3 percent better braking performance on wet roads and comes to a stop four feet (approx. 1.2 m) sooner than the previous-generation Bridgestone WeatherPeak[2].
Reliable winter capability: The tyre is 3PMSF-certified for traction in challenging snow conditions and features grippy tread grooves that shorten braking distances and minimise tyre spin on snow-covered or icy roads.
Developed with Enliten Technology: Thanks to advanced compounds for long-lasting performance, construction components for a quiet and comfortable driving feel, rolling resistance technology for impressive fuel efficiency, and production materials such as renewable soybean oil, the Bridgestone UltraWeather offers a remarkable balance between performance and sustainability.
Quiet, comfortable driving: The UltraWeather features a precisely tuned tread design that minimises noise and vibrations, rounding off the premium driving experience.
The Bridgestone UltraWeather has been available since June 1, 2026 in selected sizes in the US market and Canada. In total, the UltraWeather will be offered in 61 sizes for rim diameters from 16 to 22 inches, covering a broad spectrum of popular vehicle segments. Key fitments include the Honda Civic, the Subaru Impreza, the Toyota Highlander and the Volkswagen Taos.
