Bridgestone tyre plant in Poznań celebrates the production of 200 million tyres
The Bridgestone plant in Poznań, Poland, has reached a significant milestone and surpassed the production mark of 200 million tyres. This achievement underlines the strategic importance of the site within Bridgestone’s global production network and at the same time reflects the manufacturer’s long-standing commitment to premium quality, innovation and sustainable mobility solutions.
The 200-millionth tyre produced in Poznań was a 22-inch Turanza tyre with Enliten Technology. It is representative of Bridgestone’s latest tyre generation, which combines high performance, safety and driving comfort with greater efficiency and lower resource consumption – and which, thanks to the use of the exclusive Enliten Technology, is suitable for combustion-engine vehicles as well as EVs. The milestone was celebrated together with representatives of the company’s management, including Scott Damon, Chief Executive Officer Bridgestone West, Mete Ekin, Group President Bridgestone EMEA, Emilio Tiberio, Chief Technology Officer Bridgestone West, and Jarosław Woźniak, Plant Manager of Bridgestone Poznań.
“200 million tyres are not just an impressive number – above all, they stand for the dedication, passion and commitment of our employees,” says Jarosław Woźniak, Plant Manager of Bridgestone Poznań. “For more than 28 years, we have been building a strong tradition of innovation and quality here in Poznań. This milestone motivates us to help further strengthen Bridgestone’s position both in the region and internationally.”
Founded in 1998, the Bridgestone Poznań plant is one of the largest employers in the region, with around 2,000 employees, and continues to grow steadily. A broad portfolio of premium tyres is produced there, including numerous products with Enliten Technology. The product lines manufactured in Poznań include Potenza, Turanza, Dueler and Blizzak, among others, which are exported to more than 40 countries worldwide. The tyres are used both in the replacement market and as original equipment by leading vehicle manufacturers such as Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche.
By reaching the mark of 200 million tyres, the plant is continuing its dynamic development. The site had already celebrated the production of 150 million tyres in 2021. The continuous development of the plant underlines its important role within the Group’s global network.
