Continental Expands Military Tyre Portfolio at Eurosatory 2026
Continental presented its latest generation of military tyres at Eurosatory 2026, one of the world's leading defence and security exhibitions. At its stand in Hall 5B, the company showcased an expanded portfolio developed for a wide range of military vehicles, from light off-road platforms to heavy tactical and logistics trucks.
The tyre manufacturer highlighted three key products during the exhibition. The SOT Traction has been engineered for heavy tactical vehicles operating under extreme loads and in challenging terrain. The HCS is designed for medium tactical and logistics vehicles, combining off-road capability with high durability. For light military and special-purpose off-road vehicles, Continental presented the Grabber X3, offering strong traction on loose and uneven surfaces.
According to Matthis Riekemann, Global Project Lead Military Tires Business Development at Continental, Eurosatory provides an ideal platform to demonstrate the company's expertise in specialised defence mobility. He emphasised that Continental combines decades of tyre engineering experience with a global sales and service network to deliver solutions tailored to the operational requirements of armed forces and military vehicle manufacturers.
Continental explained that military tyres must meet significantly higher demands than conventional commercial products. Optimised tread patterns, reinforced carcass constructions, increased load capacities and adapted speed ratings are essential to ensure reliable performance under harsh operating conditions. The company develops these tyres in close cooperation with armed forces and OEM partners, allowing operational feedback from real-world missions to be incorporated directly into future product development.
The manufacturer also reaffirmed its commitment to continuously expanding its defence portfolio. All military tyres are designed to comply with established international standards for durability, safety and performance while supporting reliable mobility across demanding operational environments.
By presenting its latest technologies at Eurosatory 2026, Continental reinforced its ambition to remain a strategic supplier of high-performance tyre solutions for defence and security applications, addressing the evolving mobility requirements of military fleets worldwide.
