Hankook Becomes Original Equipment Supplier for the Porsche 911 Carrera
Hankook has reached a significant milestone in its long-standing partnership with Porsche. For the first time, the iconic Porsche 911 Carrera will leave the production line equipped with Hankook's ultra-high-performance Ventus S1 evo Z tires as original equipment. The approval marks another important step in Hankook's expansion within the premium sports car segment.
The new original equipment fitment follows approximately ten years of collaboration between Hankook and Porsche in the development of high-performance tires. The specially engineered Ventus S1 evo Z, carrying Porsche's NA2 homologation marking, was designed to meet the demanding performance characteristics of the latest 911 Carrera.
The tire combination consists of 235/40 ZR19 on the front axle and 295/35 ZR20 on the rear axle. Engineers focused on delivering precise steering response, outstanding high-speed stability, excellent cornering grip and predictable handling in both everyday driving and dynamic performance situations.
To meet Porsche's demanding requirements, Hankook optimized the tire's tread compound and carcass construction to provide an ideal balance between sportiness, comfort and durability. The development process also emphasized stable performance under varying weather conditions while ensuring low rolling resistance and high driving precision.
The latest achievement further strengthens Hankook's position as an original equipment supplier to premium automotive manufacturers. In recent years, the company has expanded its OE portfolio with brands including Porsche, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and other leading global vehicle manufacturers.
According to Hankook, supplying the Porsche 911 Carrera represents another important milestone in its strategy of delivering high-performance tire technologies for some of the world's most demanding sports cars.
