Kumho Tire Becomes Official Sponsor of Poland's Górnik Zabrze
Kumho Tire has announced a new three-year sponsorship agreement with Górnik Zabrze, one of Poland's most successful football clubs. The partnership, which runs from the 2026/27 season through the end of the 2028/29 campaign, is expected to strengthen Kumho Tire's brand recognition in Poland and support the company's long-term expansion strategy in Europe.
The sponsorship agreement was officially signed on 30 July 2026 at Arena Zabrze, with representatives from Kumho Tire Europe and Górnik Zabrze attending the ceremony. Under the agreement, the Kumho Tire logo will appear on the sleeves of the club's match jerseys. The company will also benefit from branding on LED advertising boards inside the stadium, static advertising, the club's official website, social media channels, and a range of joint marketing activities aimed at engaging football fans.
Founded in 1948, Górnik Zabrze is one of Poland's most decorated football clubs, having won 14 Polish league titles and seven Polish Cup trophies. Kumho Tire believes the partnership will help further establish the brand among Polish consumers while enhancing its visibility across the European market.
The sponsorship also aligns with Kumho Tire's broader European growth strategy. The company is currently constructing a new tyre manufacturing facility in Opole, Poland, which is scheduled to begin operations in 2028. According to Kumho Tire, the collaboration with Górnik Zabrze is expected to create valuable synergies by increasing brand awareness in one of its key future production markets.
Lee Gangseung, Head of Kumho Tire Europe, described the partnership as an important milestone for the company's European marketing strategy, while Górnik Zabrze emphasized that the agreement reflects the club's growing attractiveness to leading international brands.
Kumho Tire continues to expand its presence in international sports through partnerships with well-known organizations, including AC Milan, Eintracht Frankfurt, Leicester Tigers, and Spain's Liga ACB, using sport as a platform to strengthen its premium brand image worldwide.
