The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. has once again been recognized as a CDP Supplier Engagement Leader, receiving the highest possible rating in the 2025 CDP Supplier Engagement Assessment for the second consecutive year. The recognition highlights the company's continued efforts to address climate change throughout its global supply chain.

The annual assessment, conducted by the international non-profit organization CDP, evaluates how companies engage suppliers on climate-related issues. The assessment covers key areas including corporate governance, climate strategy, greenhouse gas reduction targets, Scope 3 emissions, risk management, and supplier collaboration. Companies achieving the highest overall performance are named Supplier Engagement Leaders.

Yokohama Rubber's recognition reflects its long-term sustainability strategy, which places supply chain decarbonization at the center of its environmental initiatives. The company has been disclosing Scope 3 CO₂ emissions since 2013 and works closely with suppliers through its Yokohama Green Procurement Guidelines, encouraging the development and adoption of environmentally friendly raw materials and manufacturing processes. The company has committed to achieving net-zero CO₂ emissions from its own operations by 2050 while continuing to reduce emissions throughout its supply chain.
